As the moon graces the evening skies on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, the Mid- Autumn Festival is a convivial occasion celebrated to honour century-old traditions and bask in the splendour of the full moon. From 1 July to 17 September 2024, YÀN showcases a delightful collection of classic baked and new snow skin mooncakes, perfect for gifting, or for one’s own indulgence.

The mooncakes are available in sets of two and four. These delights are housed in individual fuchsia pink boxes, within a soft pink satin drawstring bag. For an eco-friendly touch, the mooncake boxes will be placed in a base without a cover, and the drawstring bag may be reused. Each box boasts a holographic print of YÀN's representative motifs, including their logo, swallows, and a peony.

New and Perennial Mooncakes

New to the line-up is the Baked Red Bean Paste with Melon Seed Mooncake (Vegetarian). This traditional Cantonese-style mooncake highlights velvety, fragrant red bean paste studded with melon seeds, encased in a golden-brown pastry. Suited for vegetarians, this confectionery is made without eggs.

For those who appreciates a spirited twist, look forward to the 8-piece Mini Gin Chocolate Truffle Snow Skin Mooncake. Created with renowned Japanese gin brand Roku, these mooncakes feature a pink snow skin filled with mildly sweetened lotus chestnut paste and a delightful surprise at the centre – a Roku gin-infused chocolate truffle. The floral notes of the gin balances the rich flavours, adding layers of depth and complexity.

A classic favourite and a must-have for Mid-Autumn Festival is the Baked White Lotus Paste Mooncake. Nestled within silky lotus paste, the traditional baked pastries present a selection of single and double salted egg yolks fillings.

Enjoyed either plain or with a single yolk for a lovely savoury contrast, the Thousand Layer Yam Mooncake are not to be missed every year at YÀN. The handcrafted treat showcases layered, golden swirls of pastry enclosing a fragrant filling of sweet yam paste.

The Mao Shan Wang Durian Snow Skin Mooncake have been a crowd’s favourite since their debut in 2019. Renowned for its rich and bittersweet flavour profile, these decadent mooncakes are filled with creamy, luscious durian pulp that delights the palate with every bite.
