Chef X welcomes Kentaro (@kentarochickenrice) for its next culinary residency from 20 February to 17 April 2025. Husband-and-wife team, Stella Leung and Kent Wong, will present their unique take on comfort dishes with Japanese influences and ingredients for the very first time in a full-fledged commercial restaurant.
During their two-month residency at Chef X, Kentaro presents a menu inspired by their personal journeys and love for Japanese cuisine such as the Japanese Sakura Chicken Rice, using nutritious Sakura chicken and fragrant Hokkaido rice; Hong Kong Curry with Beef Brisket featuring tender slow-cooked beef brisket and tendon simmered in a rich gravy made with Kentaro’s special blend of curry paste and homegrown curry leaves; and Stella’s Handmade Glutinous Rice Balls in Sweet Ginger Soup, from a treasured family recipe passed down from her grandmother and featuring the caramelly Hong Kong date sugar.
