Like a growing tree spreading its roots, NAE:UM has been evolving since its doors first opened in 2021; the restaurant’s journey is a true embodiment of Chef Founder Louis Han’s progress. This anniversary is a distillation of five years’ worth of culinary contemplation. Continuing the storybook-style menu introduced with NAE:UM 2.0 last year, the commemorative "Five Years" Menu (8-courses at $288++) launches from 5 August 2026 onwards. It is both a nod to crowd favourites from the restaurant’s previous episodic menus and a platform for new creations. 

To mark the milestone, the restaurant is collaborating with artisanal candlemaker Reminds Me Of on its inaugural scent. It is an ode to the meaning of NAE:UM, a Korean literary prose describing "a pleasing fragrance that evokes memories”. Just as the restaurant philosophy is based on scents that trigger memories, the NAE:UM scent is meant to recall the memory of a meal at NAE:UM, letting guests bring a little piece of the experience home with them.
