Osteria Da Su, the newest venture under NAE:UM Group, opens at 163 Telok Ayer Street today, right next door to sister restaurant NAE:UM. Helmed by Korea-born Chef Suji Park, it is a casual, convivial osteria which serves authentic "Italian with a Korean Soul" -- an approach built by Chef Suji's over-20 year journey learning, thinking and cooking Italian food in both Korea and Italy; classically Italian in foundation and technique, with her Korean roots adding an accent that never overshadows it.

The name also carries the concept. Traditionally, osterias in Italy were humble neighbourhood eateries beloved for their locality and conviviality. In Italian, "da" means "from", making Osteria Da Su "an Osteria from Su". While in Korean, Da Su (다수) means "many people". Together, they paint the picture of a place that welcomes everyone to drop by for a hearty meal, without formality or forbidding cost.

The menu follows the traditional osteria format, moving from Aperitivi to Dolci across approximately 25 à la carte items (dishes from $14++), with handmade artisanal pasta at its heart. Dishes are made for sharing, at prices that are accessible by intention.
