EASTER FEASTER: Your guide to an epic weekend of (over)eating

EASTER FEASTER: Your guide to an epic weekend of (over)eating

Lent is over, spring has sprung, and Easter weekend (4-5 April) is officially here. Translation? It's time to loosen that belt, gather the people you love, and feast like you've been waiting for this moment all the past 40 days — whether or not you’ve actually been fasting.

Easter is the celebration of spring, renewal and, most importantly, the perfect reason for the kind of meal where nobody's counting calories or asking if there's a lighter option. This is the weekend for herb-crusted lamb that falls off the bone. For fresh pasta tossed in saffron cream with chunks of blue swimmer crab. For seconds, thirds, and a dessert trolley you didn't even know you needed. There’s a gamut of restaurants serving up Easter feasts that honour the season of abundance (but not all are equal), so here's where to make Easter 2026 a meal worth remembering.

1-ALFARO – LA TORRE & LA LUNA
Italian Easter Grill (Pasquetta) at Level 34

Perched 34 floors above the city with those sweeping 360° views of the coast, 1-Alfaro is bringing Italian Easter traditions to Singapore's skyline. In Italy, Pasquetta (literally "Little Easter") is the Monday after Easter Sunday — the day you head outdoors with family, fire up the grill, and enjoy the first warm days of spring with good food and even better company.

On 4 & 5 April, from 11am-3pm, La Luna rooftop bar is throwing a grill party in the sky at just $78++ for 4 people (yes, that's under $20 per person!). A live grill station anchors the experience, surrounded by shared platters meant for passing around the table. Highlights that will have you going for seconds: the Easter centrepiece of Herb-Crusted Lamb Shoulder, a juicy Marinated Boneless Free-Range Chicken, plump Salsiccia Pork Sausage, a moreish Spinach and Ricotta Pie, and Truffle Mashed Potatoes — because Easter deserves truffle, nothing less. Dress it all up with Vanilla & Yoghurt Mint Dip, Salsa Verde, Smoked Salt, and Dijon Mustard. Mix, match, pile your plate high, repeat.

MONTI
Easter Colapranzo Extravaganza by Marina Bay

Set against Marina Bay's glittering waterfront, MONTI is bringing back the full Italian colapranzo — that’s a fancy term they coined by merging ‘colazione’ (breakfast) and ‘pranzo’ (lunch) — for Easter Sunday (5 April, 11am-3pm, $98++ per person). This is Easter as culinary theatre. It's indulgent, it's interactive, and it's designed for people who believe more is more.

The Salad Bar invites you to build your own with spinach, rocket, romaine, mesclun, heirloom tomatoes, quail eggs, Taggiasca olives, marinated artichokes, shaved fennel, toasted walnuts, and house dressings. Start virtuous. It won't last.

Restraint officially ends at the Charcuterie & Cheese station heaving with a giant wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano waiting to be shaved fresh, Prosciutto di Parma, Mortadella with Pistachio, Spianata Calabra, Gorgonzola, warm rosemary focaccia, sourdough… Beyond that, fresh pastas made à la minute beckons. A serving of homemade Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci with brown butter, sage, crushed amaretti for a hint of sweetness is not to be missed; while the Orecchiette Salsiccia e Friarielli with Italian pork sausage with broccoli rabe, chili, and garlic oil will have you going back for seconds. Then there is the Rigatoni al Ragu d'Agnello with slow-braised lamb shoulder ragu with pecorino — essentially Easter lamb, the pasta edition.

Give in to temptation at The Grand Carvery (you can go for confession afterwards), where a Roast Leg of Lamb with garlic, rosemary, thyme is carved to order; and a Whole Baked Salmon with lemon and herbs calls out with its flaky tenderness. Sides of crisp, golden duck fat roast potatoes with rosemary, grilled summer vegetables, stewed green peas with shallot & mint complete the plate.

Then there are the devilish heavenly Live Dessert Stations(yes, plural). Cannoli à la Minute are filled fresh to order with ricotta cream — choose pistachio, chocolate chip, or candied fruit toppings. Grand Tiramisu is scooped rustic-style by the chef from a large tray, because this is not the time for portion control. And of course, the Chocolate Fountain with fresh fruit, marshmallows, and the inevitable chocolate-covered fingers.

MONTI delivers abundance with a waterfront view and the kind of lively atmosphere where lingering for hours isn't just accepted — it's encouraged.

Il Giardino - Easter (lifestyle shot)

Tucked within the UNESCO-listed Singapore Botanic Gardens in a cluster of conserved colonial buildings, this is where Easter feels like a garden party. Lush greenery, heritage architecture, and contemporary Italian cooking that respects tradition while playing with Southeast Asian flavours.

On 4 & 5 April, 11am-3pm, enjoy Easter served course by course ($58++ per person, minimum 2 pax for communal brunch menu). Feast on appetisers (groups of 2-3 pax choose 3; groups of 4+ get all of them) such as Dentice in Saor con Bunga Kantan — fried snapper in a sweet-sour Venetian marinade with torch ginger flower and pink peppercorns; Mozzarella "In Carrozza" al Basilico Thai, a comforting fried mozzarella sandwich with anchovies and whole fresh Thai basil leaves; and Baccalà Mantecato Affumicato — a dish of whipped smoked cod mousse with lemongrass-infused milk on crispy corn chips. There are also vegetarian options of Asparagi con Zabaione al Calamansi (V) (asparagus with savory egg yolk emulsion, fresh calamansi, citrus zest) and a refreshing Insalata di Anguria e Pomodoro al Tamarindo (V) — compressed watermelon and tomatoes with tamarind dressing.

Il Giardino's Bigoli al Ragu d'Anatra

Each person gets to choose one Main Course, so pick wisely or come back another day. The Bigoli al Ragù d'Anatrafeatures a rich, warming duck leg ragu with star anise, cinnamon, orange peel over thick spaghetti-style pasta. The Gigli al Granchio Blu e Panna allo Zafferano sees short, cone-shaped, ruffle-edged pasta that look like lilies (per its name!), tossed with blue swimmer crab cloaked in saffron cream sauce and dressed with crispy fried curry leaves. Easter lamb with a spice-forward twist comes in the form of Spalla d'Agnello "Al Forno" — a black cardamom & balsamic braised lamb shoulder with cumin-roasted carrot purée. There’s also the classic Barramundi all'Acqua Pazza, given just a hint of zestiness with young ginger and coriander root, and the Lasagnetta di Melanzane (V): roasted eggplant layered with mozzarella and rich miso-tomato sauce.

Dessert options include the quintessential Tiramisù Classico with coffee liqueur, ladyfingers and mascarpone; and Il "Pasticcio" Italiano — an assembly of whipped mascarpone, blood orange sorbet, strawberries, and Grand Marnier. For Springtime on a spoon, go for the Panna Cotta alla Lavanda e Miele: Lavender and honey infused cream with light Earl Grey jelly. Each guest picks one dessert too — come in a group of three or more just so that you can try them all!

GILMORE & DAMIAN D’SILVA
Chef Damian D'Silva's Easter Celebration

For Chef Damian D'Silva, Easter isn't just another holiday brunch. It's personal. He observes Lent strictly — forty days of fasting, reflection, and restraint. So when Easter arrives, the celebration is real. Because when the fasting is serious, so is the feasting.

Gilmore & Damian D'Silva -- Entryway

From 4-12 April, Gilmore & Damian D’Silva will be presenting four special a la carte dishes that celebrates rebirth by bringing back heritage Eurasian cooking. Available for both lunch and dinner on the weekends (4, 5, 11, and 12 April), and for dinner during the rest of the promotional period, this is the meal where tradition lives — dishes Chef Damian grew up with, recipes that honour his Eurasian heritage. It's intimate, it's authentic, and it's the kind of meal where you feel the story behind every dish.

The Smoked Pork Knuckle Dhalcha ($80++) is the Eurasian interpretation of the much-loved Indian lentil stew. Spices and protein may differ, but the end result is equally comforting, and with an added unctuousness. The Chicken Vindaloo ($32++) — not to be confused with Portuguese vinha d'alhos, or the Goan vindaloo born of it — sees a melange of ingredients combined to create a fiery, complex, and deeply satisfying dry curry. Pop's Sambal King Prawn ($56++ for 2 King Prawns) brings back slow-cooked flavours from the kitchen of Chef Damian’s Grandad: spicy with just the perfect balance of sweet and sour, and just the right dose of nostalgia. The perfect accompaniment to all that richness is a Green Mango Sambal ($16++) that is deliciously tangy with a complex hint of spices.
